Professional photographer and mountaineer, Mario Colonel has been based in Chamonix for 42 years and is embarking on his final photography campaign.

Familiar with the most stunning locations in the Mont Blanc massif and personally affected by the climate change impacting these magnificent mountains, he invites us to follow him along the high-altitude trails.

On his journey, he encounters a diverse array of characters: an old mountain guide, a philosopher, climbers, environmental activists, a painter, a sociologist, and a refuge keeper.

With them, he discusses the ongoing upheavals but also seeks reasons for hope.
And it is up there, on the ridges and summits, that nature will provide him with answers.
