"Nobody needs meteorologists" - Gligor Mitkovski

Nowadays access to information is extremely easy. This of course also applies to meteorological forecasts. In an urban environment, a poor interpretation of the forecast is the difference between staying dry or getting wet. On the mountain, the difference could literally be life or death.

Can mobile phone applications be a reliable source of weather forecast for movement in nature? How can a greater knowledge of meteorology help us understand how weather forecasting works?
Or maybe NOBODY NEEDS METEOROLOGISTS?

Gligor Mitkovski is a graduate meteorologist by profession, and by "blood type" a nature lover active in it. He teaches meteorology to guide candidates at MAIMLA and FPSM.
He is the author of the meteorology segment of the Mountain Guides Handbook published by the UIAA.
So far, he has been the meteorological support of over 20 Macedonian high mountain and mountaineering expeditions to the Alps, Himalayas, McKinley, Andes, as well as to several official mountain marathons and ultra marathons in Macedonia.
