“Jurria – The guardians of the pole”, Pedro Cubiles, Spain, 2020, 35’

This is a project which has been filmed entirely in Gran Canaria, The Canary Islands. It is a documentary which narrates the story of Master Paco and his passion for the pole jump. The pole was a tool which let the first Canarian settlers travel quickly through the difficult topography in search of their flocks. Today the activity is alive thanks to the teaching of Master Paco, who has share his knowledge with the new generations
